What do your dreams mean?
Whether you're skiing with squirrels or having
a bath with Robbie Williams, your dreams can often hold deeper,
more complex meanings. Use our dream guide to help unravel
your unconscious mind.
Animals
Animals in dreams are often doing things
we would like to do in everyday life, but - for whatever
reason - feel we shouldn't. For example, if you're trying
to give up cigarettes you may dream about a rat or weasel
smoking. If the image of a smoking weasel makes you feel
repelled this is your unconscious mind showing how you'd
feel about yourself if you actually did give in to temptation.
Buildings
If you dream of the home you grew up in when
you were little it can indicate that you are currently reflecting
on your life today. If the house is disturbed, maybe you
are going through a problematic time at the moment. Dreaming
of a specific room has its own meanings: kitchens can indicate
you need to take stock of your nutrition and eating habits;
bathrooms may suggest you need to look at your health and
wellbeing; bedrooms may suggest you have unresolved issues
with an intimate relationship.
Cars
Cars and other vehicles can reflect two things;
either your body or your journey through life. Suffice to
say, if you're in a top of the range Porsche zooming along
the open road you probably feel better about yourself, than
if you're in a beaten up old Polo chugging along a dark back
road.
Children
Babies and children often represent new beginnings.
And how they fare in your dream can indicate how you feel
you are doing in your 'new life'.
Death
This can indicate an ending; perhaps of a
relationship or job. These dreams can indicate it is time
to confront your fear of changing this aspect of your life.
People
People in dreams often reflect the different
parts of our own personality. Look at what the person in
your dream is doing and why: ask yourself which part of your
personality they could be symbolising and you'll find out
what they're trying to tell you.
